La Residència Sant Jaume presenta opiniones muy polarizadas que reflejan preocupaciones serias sobre la calidad del cuidado. Mientras algunos residentes destacan el ambiente acogedor y el personal atento, múltiples reseñas críticas denuncian problemas graves como staffing insuficiente (una sola persona cuidando a 15 residentes), falta de higiene, trato inadecuado hacia los residentes y personal poco empático con personas vulnerables. Las experiencias negativas superan en número a las positivas, sugiriendo que la consistencia en la calidad de servicio y cuidado es problemática

Hello, well, I didn't want to comment on this place, BUT since they're prohibiting me from visiting an elderly woman, saying it was her children who made the decision, I'm doing so publicly. A few days ago I went to visit her, and the service was terrible, the way they spoke to her was even worse. The woman has lost mobility in all aspects of her life, but her mind is intact. She told me that they scold her and punish her, that there's only one person during the day and one at night for about 15 elderly residents. And in front of the owner, or whoever she's in charge of, I said, "No one has the right to punish you or treat you badly; you just have to obey." And she said, "I'll put up with anything, but if I call them about something, they get upset..." I said, "Why don't they bathe you?" And the unfriendly woman said, "There are three of us with bad backs; she's very heavy..." That's her response... Now one of her children tells me there's a plague of bugs. Isn't there a health department to check this? For God's sake, they're human beings; nothing that happens there is fair! I'm now talking to their children and they tell me they have no idea who denied me entry… They're afraid I'll see worse things about the place. PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!

I took my mother there for 15 days and I really liked it. It's a small, cozy residence because it's an apartment, not a place like the rest. The more you stay at home. If I want to take her for a walk, we're in the middle of Vilanova, more pleasant and comfortable than being away. No complaints from the workers. If they have time when we need it, we'll repeat.

NOT RECOMMENDED!! Very poor hygiene, no empathetic treatment of such vulnerable people, no qualified medical team. After having my mother there for two weeks, I can only report it. Do not take anyone you love
