La Residencia Baells recibe evaluaciones muy polarizadas: mientras la mayoría de usuarios destacan el trato profesional, la limpieza de las instalaciones y la dedicación del personal (especialmente bajo la dirección anterior), una reseña reporta negligencia médica grave con casos de sarna no tratados adecuadamente. My mother has had scabies for months, and the nurses wear gloves. They're quick to collect their paychecks, but they don't do their jobs, and the social worker is complicit. I can't care for my mother, so I put her in a nursing home, and the poor thing has to suffer through this, and on top of that, it costs a fortune. I'm going to sue them so they can be held responsible for the damages they caused my mother.

Desde agosto del 2024 llevé a mi madre a la Residencia Baells, desde el primer día el trato a mi madre ha sido muy agradable y profesional. Voy a ver a mi madre casi todos los días, aviso por teléfono que vamos a salir a pasear y al llegar ya la tienen preparada. Las instalaciones están limpias y ordenadas y los usuarios están siempre acompañados, bien atendidos y entretenidos. Todas las cuidadoras y cuidadores son atentos y respetuosos ofreciendo un trato muy familiar y profesional. La asistenta social nos ayudó con todos los trámites y para cualquier duda o consulta siempre está disponible. La directora está muy atenta en todo lo que sucede en el centro. Doy las gracias a todo el personal por el buen trato hacia mi madre. Para mi es una residencia súper recomendable.

For us, the La Baells nursing home is like a part of our family. First, we had my mother-in-law there during the pandemic, and the treatment was exquisite. Although we couldn't have physical contact with her, they let us in wearing masks, and we knew everything was fine at all times. Over time, we've also had to bring a disabled sister and my 90-year-old mother, who suffers from dementia, to La Baells. My sister was so sick that she required special care. We knew she wouldn't be there for long because her illness was terminal. I can't express enough gratitude for the care she received from the social worker, the nurse, the doctor, and the entire team. My sister passed away with all the love she deserved. To this day, my mother is still here, and we can go whenever we want. The food is exquisite, and all the facilities are perfectly clean and safe. Thank you 🫂 Highly recommended.

Just a few months ago, I wrote on this very site (removed as it didn't fit in this review) about my joy for my parents. That first post was greatly reinforced by the way the center's director has carried out her responsibilities until today—her last day in the position. However, from what I see and perceive as clients (see below, letter sent to the Board of Directors), my opinion about someone I trust completely has been disregarded. I know for certain that she requested to be relieved of her duties, but also, based on the evidence, nothing was done to try to retain her; her resignation was simply accepted. I am very angry, as it is unacceptable that someone competent, simultaneously performing the roles of director, nurse, and coordinator, has not been valued and retained in the position as the true treasure she represents for the residents and their families; also as an invaluable asset to the company in her work. But, in addition, a very similar approach is being taken with caregivers of undeniable worth, both professionally and personally, allowing them to leave without further ado. I am truly concerned about this. With all due respect, I express my strongest condemnation of whoever allowed this to happen, because it is intolerable that this is being done to the well-being of our loved ones. I am reaching out to other family members to extend my protest through this channel, and I am considering also filing an official complaint. Antonio F. This experience allows me to appreciate the decisive impact of leadership on the well-being of those who have made their home here. During this time, I have observed several transitions in management. However, since the arrival of Ms. Ingrid, a profound change has taken place that deserves recognition. I would like to highlight the following: 1. EXCEPTIONAL COMMITMENT: She is the most dedicated and ethical professional I have ever met. Her commitment often extends beyond her official working hours, ensuring that every detail is perfect. 2. EXCELLENCE IN CARE: Her high standards—far from being rigid—guarantee quality. During my mother's epileptic seizures, she personally coordinated her referral to the hospital emergency room and her return/medication at the residence, even on weekends. 3. TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP: Under her management, Baells Residence in Sabadell is overcoming a historically fragile reputation. Her affable approach restores the families' trust. 4. SENSITIVITY TOWARDS RESIDENTS: In what I perceive in general, and particularly in the care of my mother (advanced Lewy body dementia), she combines exceptional technical competence with exceptional human warmth. A professional of her caliber deserves institutional support, without reservation! Her high standards are the foundation of this center's progressively recovering reputation. I urge you to formally recognize her work before the GRANVIDA Board of Directors. Given the evident and frequent turnover of management personnel, the continued presence of Ms. Ingrid is vital for families like mine, who enjoy unprecedented peace of mind thanks to her meticulous and efficient management. I want to thank the entire Baells residence team for their professionalism and their work towards our loved ones who care for us every day with dedication, affection and respect. Thank you especially for taking such good care of my sister, which has not been easy at all, she could not have felt more well cared for at all times. And I also want to thank you for making me feel at home whenever I go to visit my mother.
