Opiniones

My grandmother was in this nursing home for a year. I'd never seen anything like it. At first, everything seemed fine, the people were very friendly, and so on, but as the months went by, the situation got worse. First of all, they didn't change her clothes even every two days, and we brought her tons of clothes to do it. Then, I don't know if they didn't shower her or something, but her hair was always dirty, so we had to start bringing in a hairdresser ourselves to get it fixed up a bit. A few months later, her cell phone was stolen, which was brand new and cost about 500 euros, recently bought, along with the charger, which was stored in a drawer. In other words, they went looking for it; according to them, no one had taken anything, of course. They also went so far as to make a wheelchair we had brought disappear, and they tried to foist one on us that wasn't ours. Months later, my grandmother fell not once, but three times, hitting her head severely, resulting in several strokes. And yes, she can fall once out of carelessness, but three times in one month, I don't know, judge for yourselves. From then on, we called their attention and they started leaving her tied up ALL day, she only walked when we went to check on her, claiming there wasn't enough staff to be watching her all the time. Shortly after, when my grandmother began to realize that they were giving her medication in yogurt, they stopped giving it to her, which caused her to start becoming more restless and aggressive. And not satisfied with all this, when they went to evaluate my grandmother for the dependency law, the owner's wife joined the interview without permission, and began saying that my grandmother was in perfect condition, that she dressed, showered, and ate on her own (currently, due to her dementia, my grandmother cannot do any of these things, since she can barely stand and barely speak). All this so that they wouldn't assign her a high level of dependency and thus they couldn't transfer her to a public residence. And to top it all off, the last month she was there, they had a scabies outbreak with all the infected people, and they didn't tell anyone. My uncles and my mother went there without knowing anything about it... So, in the end, judge for yourselves. Luckily, my grandmother is in a better place now. In my opinion, they're shameless.

From my experience as a nursing assistant, I have to say that the residents should be cared for, kept clean, hydrated... so many things that these people don't do. Yesterday, one of the residents was in the hospital for dehydration and a severe urinary tract infection. They discharged her, and not content with sending her to the hospital for malpractice, they kept her in bed until 5 pm with a window completely broken, exposed to the sun, and without even giving her water. And then they tell her, "If she doesn't want water, I won't give it to her." It's shameful. They should have called the police; they're disgraceful. Another resident is walking alone without glasses, even though he has a seatbelt in his wheelchair, without dental glue, and without oral hygiene. The hygiene products are stored unused. It's a disgrace. The caregivers, coordinators, director, and everyone else are rude and negligent.

I wholeheartedly recommend the San Roque residence. The staff is very friendly and excellent with the residents, as are the owners, who also have a good cook. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. In my experience, it's a great residence.

Located in the village of San Claudio, this small residence accommodates about 20 residents. The facilities are well-maintained; upon entering, there is a hallway for visitors and a spacious lounge that serves as both a dining room and a television room. They offer both single and shared rooms, which are of a good size, and the care is good. Visiting hours are limited.

100% recommended. My mother is cared for at this residence with such love, affection, and dedication that it's a shining example of geriatric care. Thank you to the entire team. And to the owner for personally managing it. It has stunning views.
