I'm sharing my experience with Mejora Residencial, where my mother has been living for a little over a year. And I say "living" because that's what she says—it's her home. She moved into Mejora in January 2025 after being discharged from the hospital for a fairly serious injury where she broke both feet. Initially, it was going to be a short stay for recovery and rehabilitation, but she decided to stay herself. As she says, "the staff at Mejora take very good care of me," and I can't disagree. I visit her almost every day, and I've never seen her unkempt or disheveled. On the few occasions she's been ill, the nurses have reacted quickly and effectively, always keeping me informed. I can't comment on the food because I've never eaten there, but I can say that my mother isn't a big eater and doesn't complain about it. There are things she doesn't like, like everyone else. In short, when I had to decide to move my laundry to the Improvement program, I was a little apprehensive, partly because of the reviews I'd read here, and I told Monica (one of the supervisors) as much. Today I'm writing this positive review in case it can help others who are in the same situation I was in a year ago. As a suggestion for management, I propose a bit more oversight in the laundry because they sometimes mix up items from different closets. And I know it's difficult, but extending the visiting hours until 7:30 pm (at least in spring/summer) would be great.

I was there for four days during visiting hours to see a relative. Everything was very good, with the care provided to the elderly by the team of supervising nurses and assistants. An admirable, well-equipped center in a good location for older people who need special care and attention on a case-by-case basis.

I understand the negative comments. Currently, some of the staff at the center leave much to be desired. Nothing like they did two years ago. I never meet with the medical team, and as for the animation staff or occupational therapist, they lock themselves in their office and are never seen. There's no apparent vocation in their treatment of our seniors. I'd also like to highlight the positive side: the management team has always been kind, and I sincerely hope they can take measures and replace staff so I don't have to move my family members out of here. The facilities are fantastic. Thank you.

I am a resident of Mejora Residencial Parque Astur in Trasona - Corvera de Asturias. I want to offer a positive review. I've spent three Christmases at the residence now, and things have changed a lot. Since the new director arrived, things have improved significantly. There's a policy of building closer relationships, which was sorely lacking before. This Christmas was better organized than ever, with excellent menus and wonderful camaraderie between staff and residents, which is much appreciated. The supervision and support staff were excellent, and the cooking was superb. I want to mention Patri, who is in charge, as she was nervous that things might not go as planned, but everything turned out perfectly. I repeat, these were the best Christmases we've ever celebrated here. Thank you to all the staff for their dedication. Five months have passed, and I have another positive comment. Yesterday, May 16, 2025, we celebrated the fourth anniversary of the Mejora Residencial foundation. The management organized a musical party with refreshments for the residents and their families, and it was a huge success. As a resident, I must congratulate all the staff at this residence who organized this event. It couldn't have been better; the organization was perfect, from the management and supervisors to the assistants, kitchen staff, receptionists, and all the employees in general. THANK YOU. Today I want to share my opinion on the excellent decision made by the owners of Mejora Residencial. When they took over this nursing home, they appointed a director, I believe her name was Angels Vidal, who was terrible for the residents. She didn't greet anyone, and it was almost impossible to have a conversation with her. Now I think they've made the right choice. As I've already mentioned, the recent Christmas celebrations were a success thanks to their organization. The celebration of the fourth anniversary of this foundation was a fantastic afternoon tea, full of joy and camaraderie between the staff and residents. Gisell and Marian set an example of service by leading the distribution of the tea to residents and their families. The Residence has changed for the better, and I think that's how it should be. Thank you. I'm going to make a suggestion, though I'm not sure if it's possible. It's about the caregivers wearing name tags. We residents are elderly and forget our names. I mentioned this to the center's management before, and their objection was that there were too many changes and it was expensive. I think a pin with a paper tag would be a good solution; if they leave, they can simply hand it in, and that would solve the problem. Please excuse me, I'm not trying to impose anything; it's just a suggestion, which might not be the right one. Best regards.

Thank you to the entire Residential Improvement team for the years my mother spent with you. You are wonderful people and always look out for the well-being of the residents. I send you a big hug and encourage you to continue caring for our seniors.
