Opiniones

The service at the Day Center is fantastic; my family member is delighted there. It's full of activities for all types of users: crafts, sensory activities, festivals, and they always organize events to keep our seniors active. They also offer physiotherapy, which is a great help as therapy for many. And above all, they have a highly qualified and caring professional team. 100% recommended.

My father spent the last few years of his life in this residence, and my mother still lives here. Several members of our family and friends have also been here. I want to publicly thank everyone for the care we have received over these years, both from the staff in general and from the management and the day center staff.

A great multidisciplinary team (physiotherapists, speech therapists, and sociocultural coordinators) promotes the well-being and comfort of our seniors every day.

I want this post to help prevent others from experiencing what my mother went through during her 20 days at the Ablaña Gerontological Center (formerly a small hospital). After being discharged from the hospital and recovering (all within a matter of days), she was admitted to this Gerontological Center. The initial information I received over the phone was nothing like what I found there. When I asked how to label her clothes, they told me they would put a chip in them. I discovered that the "chip" was just a number written with a marker. Three pairs of pants and several t-shirts were missing. She was admitted on a Thursday, and her clothes weren't changed until Sunday (even though she had to go for hemodialysis on Friday). There were days when she didn't receive her insulin or oral medication, and she wasn't given the correct doses (D.Co.Ce). I can prove this. The room call button didn't work (thanks to her colleague who woke up to the banging and was able to alert staff that my mother was suffering from dyspnea, for which she has been hospitalized ever since). Staff shortages, poor organization, and menus that leave much to be desired. Very little of what they advertise on their website is true (I encourage you to take a look). Thank you to the staff like Rosa, Cruz, M. José, Pedro, Aroa, Verónica, Desire, Nerea, and Helena (I may be forgetting someone, but I don't know their names). Thank you for your kindness towards my mother, for your work despite being overwhelmed, and for your empathy towards the residents. It's very sad that our elderly don't receive dignified care and that those in charge at a higher level aren't taking action. They've already forgotten all those promises made during the height of the pandemic: "Measures will be taken regarding senior centers." There are still many families waiting. Not all residences are the same, but it's true that there are too few staff members for so many elderly and dependent people. And I can tell you that €1925 a month for a shared room goes a long way and can get you much better care. Of course I got it out. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS NURSING HOME TO ANYONE. ⛔Treating our elders like this. Let's not forget that we will all end up there. Mayte Cornejo.

The center is very well-equipped and offers excellent service to seniors and their families. The staff is very friendly and attentive; the director, in particular, is exceptional. I highly recommend it.
