Thank you ADIANTE family My mother was a patient at the center for more than two years, during which time the progression of her illness ultimately made her completely dependent. As long as she could, she would return, telling me how loving and fun the girls and boys at the center were. They, in turn, would tell me how attentive she was to everything and how she would burst out laughing at every little stumble that occurred there. Little by little, her abilities diminished as the staff's attention and concern for my mother and me grew, always willing to lend a hand and guide me through the abyss I was facing. I describe my experience at the center with the utmost sincerity, thinking at that moment about how I was searching, afraid of making a mistake, for a day center where she could feel good. At least I got that right.
