My experience... When you arrive at the day center to volunteer or accompany them to an activity outside the center, you feel like you're part of a BIG FAMILY where the well-being of the seniors is paramount. They work both in groups and individually to promote their autonomy and slow down the physical and cognitive decline that comes with age as much as possible. This also has a positive impact on their well-being, self-esteem, and quality of life, offering support instead of overprotection and maintaining open and respectful communication so they feel valued and heard. A great deal of empathy, sensitivity, respect, patience, communication, and active listening... among many other attitudes and qualities demonstrated daily by the wonderful professionals who lead this beautiful and important social work. A WONDERFUL TEAM, from drivers and caregivers to the nurse and psychologist, who are like family to us. There is so much love, dedication, and affection for the residents. A special mention to: SONIA, YOLANDA, ANA, SERGIO, ABRAHAM, ENRIQUE, JOSE, and also SUSANA and MARIA (although they are no longer on the team, they left a lasting impression).
