What I have seen is a senior center where I think that apart from taking care of them, they give them various workshops such as information technology, computers, yoga, gymnastics and various things that will be useful to them later in their real life. They have a very professional staff who try to be clear in the interviews they do with each person so that they choose the workshop and that it can be of use to them. I think it is quite good. The seniors who are going to take the courses are also interested because what they learn is always useful to them. I think they do it quite well.

Day center for seniors (with varying levels of dependency) run by the Red Cross. Excellent care for seniors, very friendly staff. They offer transportation, a dining room, medical services, and all kinds of activities (crafts, physiotherapy, etc.). They also provide follow-up and support to families.

We've been trying to contact them for several days, more than a week, to no avail. Their numbers, 900 907 251 and 900 051 679, have an answering machine where they say they can't answer right now, that we should try again later, and that their hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The worst part is that if you call through their own telecare number, they take a very long time to answer. Thank goodness the call we made wasn't a life-threatening emergency; otherwise, I don't know what would have happened. The service they provide is absolutely a priority, so they shouldn't take it a little more seriously.

Although my experience with the Center is short, a few months, it has excellent professionals. COVID has prevented us from getting to know the Center inside or participating in activities with family members as is apparently the case. We also haven't been able to interact much with the therapists except for Barbara, the psychologist, who cares deeply for us caregivers. We're seeing a lot of progress in our relative who is a user of this Center, and they keep us informed about everything. If it's worth mentioning, I would like to point out a couple of things as requests and observations: 1) that all communications be sent by email (menu, invoice, surveys, announcements, etc.), not just printed and attached to the planner. This further ensures that this information reaches us. And 2) The website says that there is a hairdressing and podiatry service, but these services haven't been available at the Center for some years. Greetings to all.
