Grandparents alone in a ward with no assistant to watch over them, at risk of falls and aggression from one resident to another (I've witnessed this). Obviously, this isn't the fault of either the residents or the assistants, as they're overworked; it's the management's fault for not hiring more workers. Then there's the disappearance of clothes and hangers from the closet. My relative bought 24 wooden hangers with his name on them, and of those 24, only 13 remain. His response to the disappearance is that they must be in the laundry room. I've worked in nursing homes, and we've never taken the hangers to the laundry room, but every facility is different, I suppose...
