My father was an AFAL user on Río Castro Street until his death a few days ago. I have nothing but words of gratitude for the treatment received, both by my father and by us. Their professionalism, kindness, availability, the affection with which they treated my father, and everything they've helped us with despite our difficulties—we can never thank them enough. Everyone we've dealt with—therapists, gerontologists, social workers, administrative staff, and transport drivers—has been top-notch. THANK YOU so much ♥️♥️

I don't like how they treat elderly people; I've seen it, I've witnessed it. Personally, I felt very sorry for how they treated some people. Once, they showered an elderly woman and didn't speak to her kindly, and they even left the door open. Another woman was left alone in a hallway without any assistance; she could have pricked herself with knitting needles. I wouldn't recommend it. I don't know what the facilities are like now, but six years ago they were a bit outdated, and in my opinion, I don't think they were prepared to accommodate people with Alzheimer's. I don't know if the staff there are trained to work with people with Alzheimer's or any other type of dementia. People with these conditions should be treated with respect and a lot of patience, taking their illness into account. I decided to volunteer there, and I felt ashamed of what I saw and, on top of that, of not having reported it at the time. But the thing is, many times elderly people are left in day centers trusting that they will be treated well, and...

Inside the premises I have no idea how they work, but outside the vehicles that transport people are very abusive, even though they have a parking space they are always double parked, and those of us who have to go through have to wait even up to 10 minutes.
