La Unidad residencial de día de San Martín de Porres presenta opiniones muy divididas: mientras algunos residentes elogian sus instalaciones espaciosas, limpias y su servicio profesional, otros reportan experiencias preocupantes relacionadas con la falta de comunicación sobre problemas de salud graves, casos de negligencia en el cuidado (deshidratación severa, fracturas) y políticas restrictivas en las visitas que afectan especialmente a familias del extranjero. My mother was in that residence and the experience was very negative. My mother had breast cancer and they didn't tell us, neither family members nor doctors, anything. We found out one day (it didn't occur to us to bring her clothes up beforehand). Another time we took her to the hospital for severe dehydration, with kidney paralysis, another time she broke her femur when she fell from the crane.

It is outrageous that visits are cut off on holidays, which is when we, the family members who live abroad, can usually travel, and even more outrageous that we find out by chance the day before when we have changed shifts to be able to travel on a certain day.
