Amazing place, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere in overall. My parent was staying 2 months this summer. Thank you for taking care of my mother.

My mother voluntarily entered the facility at the height of the pandemic, when she could still walk and had some independence, but was already showing clear symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Throughout her stay until her passing last June, she was always very well cared for, with her care adapted to the progression of her illness and dependence (without increasing the price). The team not only cared for her but also for us. It was always a pleasure to visit her, not only to see her but also for the various interviews I had with the different members of the staff. I admire them all because working in that environment is not easy, and they do it with professionalism and dedication. I have absolutely no complaints about these five years together, and I would recommend this institution to any family in the same situation I was in.

My experience at this care home was very negative. The work environment is truly difficult, and the treatment I received from the head housekeeper was extremely unpleasant. When I went to HR to explain the situation, the response I got was that I should “take it as a learning experience,” without offering any solution. Furthermore, shifts of up to 12 hours make it very difficult to work effectively and provide residents with the care they deserve. I'm sharing this so that others considering working here have a more realistic idea of what to expect.

I think we're all making mistakes when it comes to caring for our elders, those who once gave us life and cared for us. I think it's unfair that they don't enjoy the final phase of their lives with more love and quality of life. I insist that we all fail: institutions, governments, communities, municipalities, and companies dedicated to caring for our elders. I'd also like to say that it's also the attitude and acceptance of each elder that makes everything possible to adapt to each level of dependency. That said, I will say that we admitted my aunt to Sitges Park and realized she wasn't improving; on the contrary, she was getting worse every day. So we decided to take her to her apartment where she's cared for and is happier. I won't go into details; I'll just say that I don't think it's positive to have these types of large residences, where it must be difficult to find a balance between caring for the elderly and making a profit for this type of private business. I hope more thought is given to our seniors and less to the urban speculation in Sitges. Everything is luxurious, but there are too many flaws that shouldn't be allowed.
