Opiniones

The service provided by the geriatric care assistants is EXCELLENT. Their professionalism and dedication are beyond question, and they attend to both residents and those who visit the Day Center with a smile and empathy, bringing joy to those who are healthy and relief to those who are ill.

This is a long-term care facility where I've stayed three times to recover from health problems, including a stroke. The staff is friendly and caring, and the rehabilitation room is well-equipped and staffed with competent personnel. The food could be improved, although it's not bad. Visiting hours have been a bit complicated over the last three years due to COVID, but they've gradually improved. The price is somewhat high, but since it's a publicly funded facility, stays of up to 45 days are subsidized by the public healthcare system.

My father just left the residence after spending about three months there. I wanted to thank all the staff at the social health center, the girls in the cafeteria, cleaning staff, nurses, etc.. Especially all the staff on floor 10, they have all been super kind and very professional with both my father and the rest of the family; a special mention to nurse Carme, she has always been very attentive to any need we have had going beyond her duties. A big hug, my father will always carry you in his thoughts.

My experience at this facility was deeply disappointing and difficult to forget. My grandfather was admitted with the hope of regaining some mobility and improving his quality of life, but what he experienced there for five days fell far short of what dignified and humane care should be. Although his death was not directly related to medical negligence, the treatment he received and the conditions of care during his stay left an indelible mark on our family. From the first day, I witnessed firsthand a clear lack of empathy on the part of some professionals. My complaint focuses especially on the auxiliary staff, who, on many occasions, displayed a worrying lack of sensitivity toward both the physical and emotional needs of patients. Dealing with vulnerable people requires patience, understanding, and a humane approach, which was conspicuously absent here. It was heartbreaking to see how patients' basic needs were not always met with the respect and diligence they deserved. Despite visiting my grandfather every day without fail, I encountered situations in which I had to repeatedly request care that should have been provided proactively. The coldness and lack of dedication of certain assistants made those days a distressing experience, both for my grandfather and for us as a family. It's fair to acknowledge that some professionals did stand out for their professionalism and humane treatment. Their care and kindness were an exception in an environment that generally felt cold and impersonal. However, these individual efforts failed to offset the overall balance, which was frankly negative. Care in a health center should not be limited to performing medical procedures. Empathy, effective communication, and emotional support are essential for patients and their families to navigate difficult situations with dignity. Unfortunately, this was not what we found here. For all these reasons, my opinion is clear: I would not entrust the well-being of any member of my family to this center again. It is urgent that measures be taken to improve both staff training and the quality of humane treatment. No family should feel abandoned in a place that should be synonymous with care and relief.

Many thanks to the entire team. From the cleaning staff and assistants to the nurses, doctors, and the whole PADES team. The patient is always the focus; they are treated with respect and care, with their well-being always at their service. Thank you all for your dedication; we couldn't have been in better hands. Thank you so much for everything.
