My mother, who suffered a major stroke and is nonverbal, recovered noticeably every day after just a few months. She has limitations because she walks slowly and doesn't speak, and she has significant cognitive impairment. They do a ton of activities, go on hikes, go for walks, there's music therapy... She was already saying a few words, and I saw her super happy when it was Monday and I knew it was time to go to "school," as we called it. The staff is super caring and professional, and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about everyone. In an emergency, they were the ones who arranged everything and called me to express their concern. It's definitely my number one recommendation if you're looking for a day center for your elderly. I have nothing but good things to say and praise. Without a doubt, when I'm older, if I need a service with these characteristics, I'll go to the Calderón de La Barca Day Center.
