Opiniones

My father spent almost five years in the care home, and until his very last moment, my words were filled with gratitude. Whenever I contacted the staff, by phone or in person, they were always kind and attentive. The place was impeccably clean, and there were always staff members around the rooms. The staff clearly understand that the residents are the primary focus, and the contact, call, and departure times are very well regulated, as maintaining order is essential for providing them with proper care. I have nothing but words of thanks.

Good afternoon, today August 20th I was once again able to witness the total incompetence of the Virgen de la Esperanza residence. I am a former employee who decided to leave after seeing so many sad and regrettable situations, harassment towards people, but after endless circumstances that have occurred, the palm was today, being out for a walk in the area, I found a user of the center, MARIA GARCIA by name, in the middle of the road, disoriented with the traffic, not knowing where to go. We must cry out to heaven now, not only for this center that leaves much to be desired, but for all the residential centers that minimize and treat our grandparents like animals because this could have ended with an accident if they hadn't found her and obviously recognized her. We must find solutions to this now.

I see how things have improved, so much so that now elderly people are getting lost, being found far from the residence or by former employees, which means anything could happen to them. This is unacceptable. I still maintain that you have a poor service and nothing is being done about it. And on top of that, they're being made to understand Spanish.

I don't know how, but I will report to the police or wherever necessary such negligence as allowing elderly people who are not well to escape, where any misfortune could happen to them, and I will also file a complaint. This situation has to end now, since this case keeps repeating itself despite previous complaints.

Horrible experience and place. I have a relative here, and the staff's treatment is unscrupulous, uninterested, and passive-aggressive. These "professionals," who should be working here out of vocation, are doing it for the money or because it's the only option. They speak rudely to you and your relative and mutter behind your back. They completely dehumanize your relative and treat them like an object. People lose everything from clothing to very personal belongings. There's a lack of hygiene, malpractice, and extremely poor treatment of the families who come here out of necessity. The administration does nothing. When you file a complaint, they pass the buck because they pay so little attention to what's happening around them that they don't know where the problem is coming from. If you're thinking of putting your relative here, I recommend you consider any other option! It's one of the most expensive nursing homes in Almería and one of the worst; the care isn't worth even a tenth of what it costs!
